Our commitment to your privacy
At Talent SSD, we take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and secured, and the rights you have over your data. We handle personal data in accordance with the national data protection laws of South Sudan and globally recognised standards, including the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data We Collect
Name, email, phone, age bracket, gender, professional background, and activity data — used solely to deliver mentorship, coaching, e-learning, and job-matching services.
How We Use It
To match you with mentors and coaches, process bookings and payments, track course progress, issue certificates, and improve our services. We never use your data for unrelated purposes.
Data Security
Data is stored on secure, access-controlled servers with encryption in transit and at rest. Only authorised personnel may access personal data, strictly on a need-to-know basis.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. payments), under strict confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, restrict, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also withdraw consent for processing where applicable.
International Standards
Our practices align with national South Sudanese requirements and international frameworks including GDPR principles: lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, and data minimisation.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when you register an account, apply as a mentor or mentee, book a coaching session, or enrol in a course. This includes your name, email address, phone number, age bracket, gender, professional role, company, industry, and goals. We also collect limited technical data (such as login timestamps) needed to operate and secure the platform.
2. Lawful basis & purpose
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract (delivering the services you requested), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the platform. Data is used only for the purposes described here and is not processed in ways incompatible with those purposes.
3. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the requested services and to meet legal or regulatory obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
4. Security measures
We protect your data using industry-standard security controls, including encrypted transmission (TLS), encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. Despite these measures, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure; in the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
5. Your rights

6. Children's privacy
The platform is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "last updated" date above indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
